My patients all share a desire for a happier and more fulfilling life, but may not be sure where to start. In turn, I believe most people are doing the best they can, with the tools they have, for themselves and those they care about. So the will is there - we just have to figure out a different way. That may mean adapting old tools, picking up some new ones, or both. We do that with a mixture of Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) therapy. Along the way, we identify each person's values that give their life meaning and purpose. These inform big decisions but also moment-to-moment actions.
In addition to therapy, I conduct evaluations for psychological, neuropsychological, and forensic (criminal and civil) issues. Examinees range from age 6 up, and referral questions or diagnoses include all major psychological, psychiatric, and neurologic conditions. Please note I am untrained in treating sex offenders and folks with personality disorders.
